In a lengthy post, Sarah-Jane wrote: ‘It’s the first day of #babylossawarenessweek where the aim is the break the silence.

‘These photos from early June 2019 mark the time of our miscarriage through to a few days on when we decided to go on a short break.

‘I share this to remind you that you’re not alone, and that to remind others that a person’s life might appear normal and happy.

‘Many of us have dealt with the unimaginable pain and grief that comes with baby loss, in fact 1 in 4 women have experienced a miscarriage.

‘But perhaps you wouldn’t even realise that it’s happened to a person that you see often or speak to every day as, especially with regards to loss in the first trimester, not many people share with others that they’re even pregnant until 12 weeks in!

‘This means that often they’re dealing with such an event very much alone.’

Sarah-Jane went on to encourage friends and family to check on their ‘loved ones mental health.

‘Also don’t feel ashamed to talk about what you’re going through, you’d be surprised how many other people are in the same boat as you, and will feel the courage to open up once you have.’
