Wow: She’s been part of the Today Show since September 2007, conducting numerous interviews in the 13 years on the morning broadcast. And Hoda Kotb, who began her broadcast journalism career in the mid-1980s, revealed her worst interview was with Frank Sinatra’s son Frank Sinatra Jr in 2015; she revealed the news on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen as her former Today Show co-host Kathy Lee Gifford asked her three questions

The journalist’s admission came during Tuesday night’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Andy brought Hoda’s former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford to ask the questions during the segment Plead The Fifth.

The WWHL host said: ‘We’re about to serve you an ambush takeover, this one is hair raising. Kathie Lee’s revenge!’ as Hoda’s jaw drops.

‘Tonight I am handing over interrogation duties to Hoda’s former Today Show host, whose taste for vengeance is big enough to fill her mid-morning goblet of wine,’ Andy said.

Kathie, 67, said: ‘Hi Hoda mama, I’m back. I’m going to cause some trouble,’ she said to a nervous looking Hoda.

She asked her: ‘Hoda who do you think was my least favorite guest of all time? And I bet it was yours too.’

Hoda answered: ‘It was.. I know exactly who that is. Frank Sinatra Jr,’ to which Andy said that was what Kathie said was hers.

Hoda said: ‘He was the worst guest we’ve ever had, bar none. He came for a book, he had a book he was promoting, and he didn’t want to talk about it, so he didn’t say anything.’

The next question Kathie asked was: ‘Hoda say the truth, what’s the most annoyed you’ve ever been of me before we went on air, what comes to mind?’

Hoda answered: ‘I’m going to plead the fifth.’

Having fun! Kathie said: 'Hi Hoda mama, I'm back. I'm going to cause some trouble,' she said to a nervous looking Hoda

The last question Kathie asked: ‘Hoda mama Kotb, can you name three Kathie Lee songs from my huge catalog of hits?’

Hoda said: ‘Whisky in wine, Everyone has a story, and there’s one with the music video… look it up…. I don’t remember… I’m just going to go with the Christmas song, Silent Night.’

Andy told her she was correct.

Lenny Kravitz was the second guest on Tuesday night’s WWHL.

In the October 2015 interview, Frank Sinatra Jr. was on the Today Show with Hoda and Kathie to promote his book Sinatra 100.

Frank Jr., who passed away in 2016, was on the show with the book’s co-author Charles Pignone.

The first question posed by Hoda to Frank Jr. during the awkward interview was: ‘So Frank what make you decide that this was the right time to… obviously it’s his 100th anniversary….’

He cuts her off and says: ‘I didn’t decide,’ to which Hoda says ‘oh you didn’t?’

Frank Jr. added: ‘No that was done by a committee,’ Kathie added ‘Oh a committee Ok.’

Hoda asked her next question, ‘Why was it important to do something like this?’

Frank said: ‘Um I think you better ask Charles that question,’ to which Hoda said ‘oh, Ok.’

Charles said: ‘We’ve been planning for Frank’s centennial to celebrate his 100th birthday for about five years and we decided this time would be great, the book is a celebration of his life and career.’

Charles added: ‘There are a lot of books coming out but this one is sanctioned by the family and it’s also in his words. We found a treasure trove of tapes that Frank had made, talking about his life so there are a lot of people who write books that never knew him or never met him so we tried to match the pictures with the text in the book.’

Yikes: The first question posed by Hoda to Frank Jr. during the awkward interview was: 'So Frank what make you decide that this was the right time to... obviously it's his 100th anniversary....'

Kathie said: ‘He’s more popular than ever you know it seems to me.’

Charles added: ‘There’s no … we always like to say about Frank, there’s no generation gaps. Every generation seems to find him and he’s just relevant today as he ever was.’

They looked at pictures from the book, and for one picture  Hoda said ‘Tell us about the picture’ to which Frank Jr. said: ‘I don’t know anything about that one because I was not present.’

Kathie and Hoda both said ‘oh, Ok’ but Charles added: ‘I think that’s 1962 or 1963.’

Kathie added: ‘You said the holidays were always… the best memories were at home during the holiday times. That’s what somebody told us.’

After he didn’t say anything, Kathie jokingly said: ‘Probably the committee.’

Frank Jr said: ‘When I was a young person, they used to refer to it as Christmas time. Course now it has to be politically correct and call it the holidays.’

Kathie said: ‘I’ll say Christmas time,’ to which Frank Jr. said ‘Very good, so do I.’

My goodness: They looked at pictures from the book, and for one picture Hoda said 'Tell us about the picture' to which Frank Jr. said: 'I don't know anything about that one because I was not present'
