  • He asked  ‘why a Lincoln statue was toppled in Portland’ following the unrest
  • Ono Lennon, 45, then sarcastically suggested that ‘the Pyramids should be torn down immediately’ because the ‘evil Pharaohs were not very woke’
  • He also suggested the Italians be held accountable for Emperor Julius Caesar

John Lennon’s son Sean on Monday took to Twitter to mock the toppling of a Lincoln statue in Portland following a night of unrest in the Oregon city on Sunday.

Sean Ono Lennon, 45, then sarcastically suggested that ‘the Pyramids should be torn down immediately’ because the ‘evil Pharaohs were not very woke’.

The son of Beatles legend John was responding to events in Portland where protesters on Sunday overturned statues of former Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln and vandalized the Oregon Historical Society in a declaration of ‘rage’ toward Columbus Day.

Outspoken Ono Lennon also mocked the vandals, suggesting the Italians be held accountable for Emperor Julius Caesar. He wrote: ‘Can someone explain why it appears a Lincoln statue was toppled in Portland? Asking for a friend.’

The musician, who has more than 300,000 followers on Twitter, followed up with a tweet, adding: ‘The Pyramids of Giza were made under coercion from evil Pharaohs who were not very woke. I think we can all agree the Pyramids should be torn down immediately.

‘Since the invasion of Britain by Emperor Julius Caesar in 55 B.C., Italy has remained deafeningly silent. I think it’s time Italy was held accountable.’

The group Lennon was referring to on Sunday night threw chains around Roosevelt’s statue, officially titled ‘Theodore Roosevelt, Rough Rider.’ They splashed red paint on the monument and used a blowtorch on the statue’s base, news outlets reported.

It was pulled down by the crowd just before 9pm. The group later turned their attention toward Lincoln’s statue, pulling it down about eight minutes later.

Ono Lennon is no stranger to posting his thoughts online. In May he asked: ‘When did it become woke to say ‘my partner?’ I mean it’s the least sexy moniker I can think of. It’s as if you’re working together at a law firm. I’d rather be called ‘my b****.’”

On Democrat Tulsi Gabbard he tweeted: ‘Even if you are skeptical of @TulsiGabbard you can’t say she doesn’t deserve to be part of this race. She is the primary candidate who is adding to a conversation around ending unnecessary wars.’

His dad John would have turned 80 last week; December will mark 40 years since the icon was shot dead.

Historians have said Roosevelt expressed hostility toward Native Americans, once saying: ‘I don´t go so far as to think that the only good Indians are dead Indians, but I believe nine out of every 10 are …’

Protesters spray-painted ‘Dakota 38’ on the base of Lincoln’s statue, referencing the 38 Dakota men Lincoln approved to have hanged after the men were involved in a violent conflict with white settlers in Minnesota.

Donald Trump condemned the protesters as ‘Antifa radicals’ and ‘Biden fools’, urging the FBI to ‘get them’ and calling on Portland to send for federal troops.

‘Put these animals in jail, now,’ said the president. ‘The Radical Left only knows how to take advantage of very dumb ‘leadership’ fools. This is Biden! Law & Order!’

After toppling the statues, the crowd smashed windows at the Oregon Historical Society and later moved onto the Portland State University Campus Public Safety office.

A quilt sewn by 15 Black women from Portland in the mid-1970s was among the items damaged, Oregon Historical Society executive director Kerry Tymchuk said Monday in a statement.

Each square of the Afro-American Heritage Bicentennial Commemorative Quilt honors a Black individual or moment in history. The quilt that had been given to the museum for safekeeping was found a few blocks away and will be assessed for damage, Tymchuk said.
