Keira Maguire offers a BRUTAL response to Bachelor in Paradise being cancelled

Reality TV villain Keira Maguire owes her fame to the Bachelor franchise.

But that didn’t stop the 34-year-old from taking a savage swipe upon hearing the news that Bachelor In Paradise has been cancelled.

Keira slammed the spin off and said she’s relieved that Channel 10 pulled it from it’s 2021 line up, saying it’s ‘such a s**t show.’

Meme account Bachie Funny shared a screenshot of Keira’s comment, that said: ‘Thank God, such a s**t show,’ underneath a cancellation announcement.

Jamie offered a scathing response to Keira in the comments and then got into a spat about her with other fans.

She and Jarrod had a rocky relationship before finally ending things in August 2019 – just in time for the blonde to sign up for another season of Paradise.

According to the So Dramatic! podcast, most cast members appearing Channel Ten’s Bachelor In Paradise take home approximately $500 to $1,000 for a day’s work.

‘Some contestants were able to bargain and get $1,000 a day… and then people like Keira can demand more,’ the host explained in a recent episode.

‘I heard Keira’s fee was close to $50,000, but honestly that’s just a rumour and not confirmed because contract negotiations are very confidential.’

Channel 10 confirmed this week that Bachelor in Paradise won’t be returning next year.

However, it’s believed the reality TV spin-off will air in 2022.

‘We love all the excitement, drama and of course love that Bachelor in Paradise brings, but we have decided to rest it in 2021,’ a spokesperson said.

Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered in 2018, was noticeably absent from Channel 10’s 2021 Upfronts presentation on Thursday.

Based on the American format of the same name, the reality series brings together contestants from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette for a second chance at love.

The spin-off doesn’t usually perform as well in the ratings as the main programs, but its figures were particularly disappointing this year.

Just 539,000 people watched the finale on Sunday, August 9.

Warner Bros. Australia, the company that produces Bachelor in Paradise, is also being sued by ex-contestant Jamie Doran over his negative portrayal – but it’s believed this hasn’t influenced 10’s decision to ‘rest’ the program.

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will return next year.
