Michelle Keegan sits in the front of a HEARSE while filming Brassic

She has been hard at work on the set of Brassic.

And Michelle Keegan was once again on-set as she got back to work on filming the show while clad in a white padded jacket and sat in the front on a hearse.

The Coronation Street actress, 33, who plays Erin Croft on the hit show, looked prettier than ever on the chilly streets of Lancashire on Tuesday yet things seemed to be taking a sad turn as she sat in front of the funeral car.

All work and no play! Michelle Keegan was once again on-set of Brassic as she got back to work on filming the show while clad in a white padded jacket and sat in the front on a hearse

Brassic seems to have taken a turn for the sad, as Michelle sat in the front of the vehicle, typically used to carry coffins yet appeared empty in the back.

In place of a coffin in the back of the car was instead a bottle of milk.

Michelle has been joined on-set by her co-star Joe Gilgun, 36, whose troubled character is Vinnie O’Neill, as they get to work on the new series.

As filming got underway, Michelle, who was tested for COVID before filming resumed, waited by the gates.

The cast and crew are back at work after filming was reportedly delayed by two months due to a member of the production team showing COVID symptoms.

A source told The Sun Michelle was tested for the virus after filming was originally due to kick off in September.

The insider said: ‘The safety of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance so until bosses know it’s totally safe filming won’t be going ahead.

‘It could be a fortnight before it starts again. Michelle was due to start filming this week but nothing is happening until they’re sure it’s safe.’

Brassic follows the story of Lancashire native Vinnie, played by Joe, who suffers from bipolar disorder and his best pal Dylan, played by Damien Molony, who he has been inseparable from since childhood.

The boys have dealt, scammed, bribed and conned their way through adolescence, but now, on the brink of adulthood, their dealing and stealing is catching up with them, with the repercussions of their crimes heading their way.

Michelle plays Erin, a single mum seeking a better life for herself and son, Tyler, while navigating complicated relationships with show leads Dylan and Vinnie.

Veering between hilarious comedy and heartfelt emotion, Brassic is about irreplaceable, lifelong friends, loyalty and the things that come between them.

And despite working with a predominantly male cast, Michelle has insisted that she doesn’t mind as she’s the ‘blokiest one’.

The brunette beauty previously shared: ‘The lads invited me in, I never felt like an outsider. I’ve always got on with everyone. It never felt different for me – I literally am the blokiest one. I never felt like I was the only girl. We gelled straight away.’
