Strictly star Natalie Lowe has reflected on her two miscarriages to mark the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week on Thursday.

The Australian dancer, 40, who is married to James Knibbs, shared a post with her 33,500 followers to help fellow grieving women suffering similar loss.

Earlier this year, Natalie discussed how losing two babies in early pregnancy stripped her of her ‘self-esteem, confidence and identity’ before she gave birth to her first son Jack in December 2019, and she has now promised women ‘it gets better’.

Heartache: Strictly star Natalie Lowe has reflected on her two miscarriages to mark the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week on Thursday

Natalie first became pregnant three weeks before her wedding in Australia in 2018, but on her flight back to the UK she found she ‘didn’t feel right’ and lost the baby.

Three months after her first miscarriage Natalie discovered that she was pregnant again, while on honeymoon in South Africa with James.

Just two months later, Natalie received the same devastating news and admitted she had a mental breakdown shortly after when she suddenly broke down in tears.

Alongside a beautiful black and white image, Natalie posted the touching caption while reflecting on her own losses and the heartache of others.

In the caption, she penned: ‘Today is the last day of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

‘I’ve been thinking a lot about whether to post about it as so conscious that there are a lot of women going through situations right now that are a lot tougher than the two miscarriages I suffered…

‘I also don’t want this to be a ‘look at me now with my baby’ post. As again, this might not be the reality for others…

‘What I do want to say though, if you are suffering, please please do speak to somebody about it. Whether that’s your partner, a parent, a friend, a brilliant charity like @miscarriageassociation or just anybody that you feel comfortable talking to…

‘Life might not get back to how it was but I promise you it does get better. Be kind to yourself and surround yourself with as much love as you can. X x’.

The couple, who married in a secret beach ceremony in Sydney in January 2018 after a two-year engagement, have previously urged anyone struggling with fertility to reach out to a professional for emotional support.
