Tom Gleeson pokes fun at Nine’s The Block after ABC’s Hard Quiz beat the renovation show in the ratings

Tom Gleeson has poked fun at The Block after ABC’s Hard Quiz beat the renovation program in the ratings on Wednesday.

The Channel Nine show pulled in just 744,000 viewers in the five-city metro market while Hard Quiz was watched by 756,000.

The 46-year-old ABC host shared the results to his Instagram on Thursday and wrote: ‘Hard Quiz beat The Block!’

Seven News was the most-watched program of the night, pulling in 955,000 metro viewers.

It was followed by ABC’s Gruen, which is hosted by Wil Anderson, in second place with 943,000 in the five major cities.

Nine news also managed to draw in an audience of 912,000 on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, the contestants on The Block have spent the last few weeks renovating homes in front of a national audience.

And as the renovation show nears the end of its 2020 season, all of the homes have now officially gone on Melbourne’s property market.

According to Domain, each Brighton property has an asking price of between $3.2million to $3.4million, which is well above the suburb’s median house price of $2,617,500.
