Madeleine West reveals how a backpacker yelled ‘show us your t*ts’ at her

Madeleine West has revealed how a backpacker recently yelled a crude remark at her while she was at the beach with her young children.

The former Neighbours actress, 40, shared a post to Instagram on Friday explaining how the incident made her feel ‘small, yet sadly desirable’.

She claimed the tourist had yelled ‘show us your t*ts’. 

‘I’d heard the murmurs as they approached “that’s the chick off Neighbours”, so the request wasn’t surprising, except it was in front of my little girls,’ she wrote. 

‘Thus my response was crucial. It made me feel small, yet sadly desirable. Part of me wanted to stab him in the thigh with a fork. A deeper, darker part wanted to say “thank you for still seeing me!”‘

She continued: ‘Instead I shrugged my shoulders and said to my kiddies “silly man. If he knew I can cut down trees with machetes, he’d much rather see that!”‘ 

Madeleine went on to say: ‘I find it baffling that breasts are so fascinating, except when they are performing the primary function for which they are designed.’

She accompanied her post with a photo of herself holding her twins, Xahlia and Margaux, and another while breastfeeding her daughters.

‘I just thought I’d oblige that young man’s request anyway, with a little pic from a few years back. I trust no one will feel confronted by this image,’ she wrote.

The actress shares six children with celebrity chef Shannon Bennett: Hendrix, 10, Phoenix, 13, Xanthe, seven, Xascha, eight, and twins Xahlia and Margaux, four.

After 13 years together, Madeleine and Shannon announced their separation in September 2018.

She told Stellar at the time they were ‘striving to reconnect as friends and parents’, adding that having six children had put a strain on their relationship.
