The Bachelor’s Irena Srbinovska officially moves to Perth with Locky Gilbert

The Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska and Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert have finally moved to Perth.

The nurse, 31, shared the exciting news to Instagram on Friday, and revealed she has relocated from Melbourne after her travel permit was approved.

‘After many attempts we’re finally in Perth. I had to apply for a G2G like everyone else and it wasn’t easy. I was rejected time and time again but it was finally approved,’ she wrote.

Irena went on to explain: ‘I didn’t get any special consideration because of the show. My application was examined like everyone else’s.’

She revealed she will be ‘relocating her entire life’ and will also be working as a nurse in Perth.

She said: ‘I am relocating my entire life here, I will be working as a nurse and this is a permanent move hence why I believe I was given my pass.’

‘So now we are starting our two week quarantine… wish us luck,’ Irena wrote.

A G2G pass allows individuals to apply for a travel exemption to enter into Western Australia for an approved purpose.

Meanwhile, Irena revealed her plans to relocate from her hometown of Melbourne to Perth to be with Locky on The Project.

‘The plan is that I’m moving over to Perth,’ she revealed to the show’s hosts.

Last month, a conflicted Locky chose Irena as his winning contestant during The Bachelor’s emotional finale.

‘Irena, every time I’m with you… I feel so safe and protected, and it’s kind of weird, ’cause I’m a pretty big dude, and not many people can make me feel like that, but just when I’m with you, I feel so calm and comfortable,’ he told her.

‘When I think about our future together, I’m so excited and I can’t wait to just travel the world and make all your dreams come true.

‘Irena, I’m so in love with you. And I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.’

Moments earlier, he had delivered the bad news to runner-up Bella Varelis – despite having told her beforehand that he was ‘falling in love’ with her.
