Danny Cipriani’s fiancée Victoria reveals she felt ‘irrational anger’ when their ‘love story began’

Danny Cipriani’s fiancée Victoria Rose has spoken about the first time they met.

The health campaigner, 39, and the rugby star, 32, went public with the relationship in June, before becoming engaged in a whirlwind romance.

Victoria described on Instagram on Friday how she felt ‘irrational anger’ when their ‘love story began’, and that they would argue over text because they had ‘nothing in common’.

‘I felt irrational anger’: Danny Cipriani’s fiancée Victoria Rose has spoken about the first time they met

Sharing a loved-up photo from their dinner date on Wednesday, the mother-of-two wrote: ‘The first time I met Daniel. I felt absolutely nothing. Actually, that’s a lie. I felt irrational anger.

‘Maybe anger and passion are similar enough emotions…I don’t know. But I do remember that I made myself laugh whilst in his presence and he didn’t act favourably to that. In spite of himself and myself a seed of something was planted that day.

‘Daniel obviously being a rugby player and me in football we didn’t have a lot in common, we just played tennis between texts, most of those texts consisted of textual arguments which I found pretty pointless.’

Victoria said the fact they irritated each other so much ‘intrigued her’, and said she sent Danny wild because she ‘didn’t fall at his feet’.

‘So our love story began – at this point I won’t be offended if you grab a sick bucket,’ she continued.

‘Ever since we made the decision to walk this life together we’ve been joined at the hip, laughing until our sides are splitting, being silly, adulting, investing our time into making each other happy, meditating, talking to each other kindly, treating ourselves with respect, remembering our value, spurring each other on, watching sunsets, sunrises – going for long forest walks, drinking water, unravelling our lives, speaking out emotions and healing.

‘Our wounds are often the openings into the best and beautiful parts of us. We found a way to wake each other up.

‘Now it’s a choice to keep on doing it everyday. Daniel thanks for turning my world upside down. You are my peace. I appreciate you and love you!!!’

The post comes after Danny revealed Victoria tragically lost their baby when she was 24 weeks pregnant.

The rugby star said he was excited to become a father and that he and mental health campaigner Victoria had named their baby boy River in an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday.

The sportsman wrote: ‘At 24 weeks we lost River, our son. Was and is always going to be difficult, but we supported each other through it and found our love grew and got strong.’

Heartache: Danny said: 'This may seem a sad post, it isn't. This break now from last season and reflecting is a special place to be. I'm more determined than ever to keep growing'

He did not state when their loss happened but instead wrote a positive piece about how the couple had navigated their way through it.

Danny, who tragically lost his former partner Caroline Flack earlier in the year, wrote: ‘It’s been a challenging year, for many different reasons.

‘I’ve had to emotionally overcome and heal in different ways that I haven’t experienced before.

‘In doing so it brought up old trauma and wounds that were unresolved. Then the most beautiful thing happened, I was going to be a father and I fell in love. Deeply in love.’

Danny also said: ‘For me falling in love was the scariest thing to do hence my behaviour over the years, she is the most magnificent, kind, wise, and beautiful person I’ve ever met,’ he said.

‘This may seem a sad post, it isn’t. This break now from last season and reflecting is a special place to be.

‘I’m more determined than ever to keep growing learning and loving with my woman.

‘I’m also locked in to represent myself the best I can on the field which to this day I still don’t think I have done… The future is exciting it’s going to take hard work. I’m ready.’

Last month, Danny and Victoria sparked rumours that they may already have tied the knot following a whirlwind engagement.

Danny will become a stepfather to her two children, Jade Austin, 24, and a teenage son, 14, when they marry.
