‘Remember when I said I wanted to lose a stone a few months ago? Well here it is. Remember my reasons for it? Because I was sluggish and feeling lethargic and lazy.’

Detailing how she feels after getting in better shape, she continued: ‘I’m now full of life and have so much energy. The weight was just a result of me making better choices for my health. Exercising and eating well.

‘I’m still ‘body positive’ because I embrace every part of me – no matter what size or weight.

‘I’m here to tell you that happiness is an inside job and not a result from how you look like. I encourage you all to be you and not like anyone else.’

In July the star vowed to lose a stone but insisted the choice is about health and not her appearance.

Malin took to Instagram and posed in her underwear, and revealed that she had been feeling lethargic due to the weight she had gained during lockdown.

The Refuge charity ambassador has spoken openly about her about six year eating disorder and has spent years campaigning for people to accept their imperfections.

While the decision to slim down may have appeared to contradict Malin’s body-positive message, the influencer explained that her belief in self-acceptance regardless of shape or size remains as strong as ever.

Malin wrote a detailed post explaining that not working out and giving up meat and fish had left her feeling lethargic, bloated and less healthy.

‘Perhaps I’ve inspired someone to do the same today. Not to necessarily weigh them selves as this used to trigger me (it doesn’t anymore – but to check-in with their health.’
