Tara Rushton and Cooper Cronk announce they are expecting their second child together

They welcomed their first child, a son Lennox, in 2018.

And on Saturday, Tara Rushton and Cooper Cronk announced they are expecting their second child together, a baby boy due in January next year.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph’s Stellar magazine, the couple explained that they are ‘really happy’ with the news.

‘We always spoke about wanting two kids. We never really planned it in terms of timing, but we’re really happy,’ former NRL player Cooper, 36, said. 

Tara, who is five months along revealed that the couple were successfully able to keep the pregnancy under wraps. 

‘Somehow we’ve been able to conceal [the pregnancy] this time around. I think it’s because nobody asked!’ the Fox Sports presenter admitted. 

Like with her first pregnancy, the 36-year-old has experienced some nausea, but this time she also has a two-year-old to chase after. 

‘It definitely adds a different level of intensity when you’re chasing a fast-footed two-year-old around while pregnant,’ she added.

Last year, Cooper defected from the Melbourne Storm to the Sydney Rosters in order to be closer to Tara.

‘Tara, my fiancee, is based in Sydney and there’s a few things in life that are more important than football, like family, getting married and a future,’ he said at the time. 

The high-profile pair tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in December 2017.

 In July 2018 the couple welcomed their first child, a son name Lennox.
