Kerri-Anne Kennerley reveals the TV show she regrets doing above all others

‘It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life’: Sacked Studio 10 host Kerri-Anne Kennerley reveals the TV show she regrets doing above all others

Showbusiness veteran Kerri-Anne Kennerley has revealed the one TV show she regrets doing above all others.

The 67-year-old, who was made redundant from Studio 10 in August, told New Idea that taking part in season four of Celebrity Apprentice in 2015 was a ‘big mistake’.

During the series, Kerri-Anne served as a boardroom advisor to CEO Mark Bouris alongside ModelCo cosmetics founder Shelley Sullivan.

She didn’t mince her words when asked about the role, which she described as ‘one of the biggest mistakes of my life’.

While she noted that her job was easy compared to the contestants’, Kerri-Anne took issue with filming early in the morning and late into the evening.

‘It was such a wicked waste of time,’ she said bluntly.

She also wasn’t a fan of Mr Bouris, who was the show’s CEO from 2011 to 2015.

Kerri-Anne pointedly said of his replacement, British billionaire Lord Alan Sugar: ‘[He] would be better than Mark Bouris.’

Her revelation about her stint on Celebrity Apprentice comes as she prepares for an exciting new role in the musical production of Pippin, which opens next month.

She will play Grandma Berthe and has been preparing for her role by doing acrobatic training.

Kerri-Anne recently attended the Elysia Wellness Retreat in the NSW Hunter Valley, where packages cost up to $4,595 per week, per person.

There, she was placed on a strict vegetarian and alcohol-free diet, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Kerri-Anne’s role in the musical comes after she was dumped from Studio 10 in August, alongside Channel 10 veterans Natarsha Belling and Tim Bailey.

She fought back tears as she addressed her sacking live on air less than 24 hours after losing her job in a cost-cutting measure.

‘I just know I’m back on the “lazy Susan” of television. Yeah, it’s very, very tough for a lot of people,’ she said.

‘But I’ve always worked on a personal level, the Charles Darwin theory that says to survive you don’t need to be the most intelligent, you don’t have to be the strongest, but you have to be, to survive, the most adaptable.’

‘I’ve had a ball! And the reason why I’ve got this outfit today is because, if you’re being run out of town, get in front of the parade or get in front of the crowd and make it look like a parade!’ she added with a salute.
