They met and fell in love on Married At First Sight last year.
And a year on, Lizzie Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus have proved their naysayers wrong and have celebrated their first anniversary together.
The reality stars, aged 28 and 30 respectively, marked the occasion by posting gushing social media tributes to one another on Instagram.

‘1 year with you pumpkin spice,’ Lizzie captioned a series of pictures she uploaded of the couple on Saturday.

The duo married in October 2019 after meeting on and filming MAFS for the 2020 series.
It was the second time Lizzie appeared on the show after first taking part in the social experience alongside Sam Ball in 2019, who infamously cruelly fat-shamed her.

She has since found love with Seb, who also expressed his admiration for Lizzie in a lengthy post on Instagram over the weekend to mark the occasion.
‘We’ve overcome a television show… distance… COVID …. having 0 clue how to maintain and grow in a relationship and every other hurdle known to man … so a year for both of us … is very special … it shows that we are capable of true connection … we deserve to love and be loved … happy anniversary Yum,’ he captioned his post on Sunday.
He added that the couple ‘had a little bonding session’ to celebrate their anniversary while he worked from home.

‘Lately I’ve been in my office for hours on end, answering emails and preparing for the upcoming challenge,’ he wrote.
‘Last night baby came and sat on my lap and we had a little bonding session at the computer, because she just wanted to spend more quality time with me and see exactly what I do.
‘Today marks 1 year since we met … myself, a super nervous Peter Garret impersonator sweating on the isle and a cool, calm and collected Chameleon, almost angelic as she floated toward me.

On Monday, Seb reiterated how important the milestone was on his Instagram Stories.
‘I made the choice to come over here for a relationship, for change and, you know, even developing this business … and you can’t do every thing and so a lot of amazing things have been happening and sacrifices have to be made,’ he told his 107,000 followers.
Lizzie also shared pictures of the couple celebrating their anniversary on Saturday night, but failed to get a ‘decent photo’.
