‘It’s back where it belongs’: Sonia Kruger takes a swipe at her former network Channel Nine as she confirms that The Voice has moved to Seven

Sonia Kruger exited the Nine network last November for Channel Seven after eight years.

And at Seven’s 2021 Upfronts presentation on Wednesday, the 55-year-old couldn’t resist taking a swipe at her old employer.

Sonia made the subtle dig while announcing that The Voice, which she previously hosted on Nine, will air on Seven next year.

‘The Voice is back where it belongs – on whichever network I’m currently working at!’ she said in a cheeky promo.

She then added: ‘Which is most definitely Channel Seven.’

The blonde beauty then dropped a few more hints about the new season of the series, which will air on Seven next year.

Sonia started co-hosting The Voice on Channel Nine for its fourth season in 2015.

Darren McMullen departed after that season, leaving Sonia on as the solo host up until season 8 in 2019.

She then left the series, along with the Nine network, for Channel Seven.

Darren returned to host the show’s ninth season, with Renee Bargh serving as co-host.

Sonia has gone to have huge success since signing with Seven, most notably hosting the Big Brother reboot this year.

She will also host The Voice again next year, and will serve as a judge on the upcoming season of Australia’s Got Talent: Challengers & Champions.
