Judy Finnigan leaves fans VERY distracted with her new ‘different voice’ on This Morning

Judy Finnigan and her husband Richard Madeley made an epic return to This Morning on Thursday as they celebrated 10 years of their book club.

The married presenters, aged 72 and 64, were the original hosts of the hit ITV chatshow from 1988 until they quit in 2001.

Yet despite viewers being delighted by their brief return to This Morning, where they appeared via video from their north London home, Judy left some fans very distracted as they claimed she had a new ‘different voice’.

Although other show watchers were quick to point out that Judy appeared to have had new teeth fitted and the dental treatment could be causing her different voice.

The interview comes after Richard revealed that reading is what kept him and his wife Judy from getting ‘snappy’ during the coronavirus lockdown.

The couple recently made a surprise return to TV screens to host their new book show, Keep Reading and Carry on.

The couple have established themselves as credible critics with book fans thanks to their longstanding book club.

When asked by the Mirror why reading plays an important role in the marriage, Richard said the timeout it provides stops them getting ‘snappy’ with one another.

He shared: ‘In all marriages, things can occasionally get tense, and you can get a bit snappy with each other, especially if you’re together 24/7.’

However, the broadcaster shared that they work so well together because they’re so comfortable with each other.

The husband and wife duo fronted This Morning between 1988 and 2001 and returned to the ITV breakfast show earlier this year to fill in for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

Their return was met with praise from viewers who clearly saw how at ease they are presenting together.

When describing his wife, Richard shared: ‘For my money, Judy’s still the best female presenter in the UK, she is so able and versatile. But of all the presenters I know she was always the most reluctant one, she didn’t enjoy the fame thing at all.’
