Blake Lively ‘can’t believe’ she is ‘still married’ to Ryan Reynolds as she roasts him in b-day post

Ryan Reynolds celebrated his 44th birthday on Friday. 

And while celebrating her husband, Blake Lively couldn’t miss an opportunity to get some jokes in. 

The 33-year-old actress roasted her husband of eight years for his choice of birthday dessert and joked that she ‘can’t believe’ they are ‘still married,’ an Instagram post. 

The Gossip Girl actress shared a photo of the Deadpool actor looking cozy in a grey tee and glasses, as a pie with multiple lit candles was being presented to him. 

But Blake had some things she took issue with, writing ‘1) Who is the lost soul that selects birthday PIE,’ over cake.

She also shared a second photo of the pie, still with lit candles missing a piece. 

‘What ANIMAL eats their cake (pie) without first blowing out the candles,’ she added. 

Over a photo of Ryan preparing to take a bite of a piece slice with a lit candle, she wrote ‘I go all out to make it special for my husband on his birthday.’ 

Blake also shared that she ‘finally found a way to give him eco friendly balloons,’ as she shared a photo of their kitchen, with lemons, limes, potatoes and other random kitchen finds sitting on the counter and shelves with ribbon attached.  

Continuing on, Blake wrote ‘@vancityreynolds that’s. Happy birthday. I honestly can’t believe we’re still married.’ 

The couple started dating after meeting on set of Green Lantern in 2010 and they married in 2012. 

They now share three daughters, James, five, Inez, four, and Betty, one.  

Earlier in the day, Ryan joked about fellow actor Emilia Clarke, who shares the same birthday, that it was too ‘crowded.’ 

And in an attempt to jokingly claim the day for himself, Reynolds, announced via Twitter that he gave Clarke, 34, a ‘new birthday’ this year.

‘So sorry. I moved her birthday this year. It was feeling a little crowded for me,’ replied Ryan to a tweet his production company Maximum Effort sent out in Clarke’s honor on Friday. 

Hours later, the Deadpool star returned to Twitter to unveil the birthdate he had chosen on the Game Of Thrones actress’ behalf. 

‘Excited to announce February 29th as Emilia’s new birthday. Congratulations!’ read Reynolds’ tweets, which has since garnered over 50,000 likes on the platform.

The new date is a leap day, which would effectively give Emilia a birthday every four years, or once every ‘leap year’.

Shortly after, Ryan shifted focus away from his day of birth by opening up about his ‘first time’ voting in an American Presidential election.

The Canadian native wrote: ‘I sh*t you not, it was among the most exciting things I’ve ever done. I’m optimistic about the future. I’m excited to be a part of this process.’

He also included a self-portrait that showed him proudly holding onto his ballot, while donning a pair of sharp seeing glasses and a navy blue button down shirt. 

Ryan’s wife Blake Lively paid homage to her husband’s ‘first time’ voting by penning a tribute riddled with double entendres 

‘It was Ryan’s first time. He was understandably scared. It all happened so fast. Like, REALLY fast. He wept. I pretended to weep. Then he called all his friend. #voteearly,’ captioned the Gossip Girl star on Instagram.

To coincide with her hilarious caption, Blake uploaded a sweet snapshot of herself and Ryan beaming for the camera before turning in their ballots.  

Lively and Reynolds have become one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples since meeting on the set of their action film The Green Lantern in 2010.

The pair officially took their relationship to the next level in 2011 and by September of 2012 they were married.

Since tying the knot, Blake and Ryan have welcomed three daughters, James, five, Inez, four, and Betty, one.

Although Reynolds did not dish about his 44th birthday plans, his birthdate twin Emilia Clarke gave fans a look at the extreme lengths she went to to make her 34th birthday a special one. 

‘What could match the profound existential terror of another birthday? Jumping out of a g*dd*mn plane is what,’ wrote Clarke, who shared a slew of snapshots from her sky diving adventure with her Instagram followers.

She added: ‘Thank you Hinton Sky Diving for the most exhilarating experience of my life!’ 

Many of the snapshots that Emilia uploaded on Friday featured her letting out adrenaline-fueled screams as she prepared herself for the sky dive.

One especially cute picture showed Clarke holding up the Hinton Sky Diving brochure for the camera, while bundled up in a large beige coat and rocking a hilarious facial expression.
