Jack P Shepherd’s girlfriend Hanni Treweek defends actor for ‘never seeing his disabled son’

Jack P Shepherd’s girlfriend has jumped to the defence of the actor as he is slammed by his exes for neglecting his children.

Last week, the Coronation Street star’s former fiancee Lauren Shippey claimed he has not seen their children in almost four months; and a follower of his current girlfriend Hanni Treweek was sure to point out on Instagram that he does not see his third child, Greyson, either.

Answering a Q&A on the social media platform, Hanni responded to a question which asked: ‘How do you feel dating a man that has nothing to do with his DISABLED son – Greyson [sic]’

Hanni, 31, was sure to defiantly reply to the naysayer, replying: ‘I get trolled by people like you on a daily basis. I wasn’t in Jack’s life when that happened.

‘What I can comment on is that he was 21, a young man himself in the public eye with a lot to learn.

‘Everyone has a past, its important not to judge a book by its cover. You might assume you know the facts but you don’t.

‘The world is already at an uncertain time and it’s not going to get any better anytime soon with trolls such as yourself.

‘If you thought I wasn’t going to respond, you were wrong. Have a lovely evening xxx [sic]’ 

She also answered a question about having children – stating that she would be.

This seemingly confirmed that Jack is planning to add to his trio of offspring.

Ex Lauren, 32, slammed Jack, 32, for failing to keep his promises to his children and criticised his decision to discuss his ‘blended family’ in a recent magazine interview.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘It made me laugh. We’re about as blended as a breeze block in a cement mixer.’  

Jack and Lauren were in a relationship from 2002 to 2017 and are parents to Nyla, 11, and Reuben, six, while the actor also has a son named Greyson born in 2010 from a one-night stand.

Lauren said she was unhappy after reading an interview her ex gave to OK! magazine where he spoke about homeschooling their children with his new girlfriend Hanni Treweek, 31, during the coronavirus lockdown. 

She said: ‘I’m speaking out now because Jack has used his celebrity status to give an interview which portrays a false image of how he behaves.

‘Jack didn’t see his children for almost four months! He hurt me emotionally quite a few times. I always had his back and forgave him. I never, ever planned to speak about our relationship but enough is enough.’  

Lauren also told the publication that Jack hurt her emotionally and she now feels the public needs to know what he is ‘really like’. 

She also said that her children need their father and she hopes he will come to see his current behaviour as unacceptable. 

Jack and Lauren met when they were teenagers and were engaged until she broke off their relationship in May 2017.

Lauren said she forgave Jack for his one-night stand in 2010, saying he told her the truth on the Friday before it was due to be published in a Sunday newspaper.

She finally called quits on their relationship in 2017 when he failed to come home one night after reportedly going to a strip club in Leeds. 

Lauren recalled another incident when she said Jack returned home late at night with a group of friends and she came into the kitchen around 2am to find him stroking a girl’s hair. 

She said their children were upset by their split and the four of them went on one final holiday together to Walt Disney World in Florida.  

Lauren said Jack got together with Hanni a few months after their breakup and began to visit the children less frequently by 2018.

She was particularly upset after he went to Greece for two weeks on holiday and never contacted them. 

Lauren, who reportedly earns £25,000 a year running a performing arts school, said she has struggled to buy her children shoes in the past and has had to spend thousands on legal fees. 

Lauren had always sworn not to speak publicly about her relationship with Jack but changed her mind after she saw his OK! interview.

In that interview, Jack said he ‘didn’t want to risk’ meeting the children during lockdown. 

He said: ‘We gave it a month or two then we had them to stay. It was tough at the beginning but we FaceTimed and did Zoom quizzes, so I was seeing them. It was lovely when we got together.

He also said that his kids took to Hanni right away, adding: ‘I wasn’t sure how it was going to go down but Nyla took to Hanni immediately – they both love fashion and make-up. 

‘Reuben liked her straight away too and they quickly started asking if Hanni would be there when I picked them up.’ 

Jack and Hanni, who moved in together in 2019 in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, met through Coronation Street, where she works as a storyline creator.
