I’m A Celebrity pay packets ‘revealed’ as ‘Vernon Kay bags the highest wage with £150k’

The pay packets of this year’s I’m A Celebrity contestants have reportedly been revealed with Vernon Kay coming out on top as the highest earner, while AJ Pritchard will bag the lowest wage.

Though the official line-up for the ITV show has yet to be unveiled, a host of celebrities of stars including Vernon, AJ, Coronation Street’s Beverley Callard, and presenter Victoria Derbyshire were seen arriving a special photoshoot over the weekend, further fuelling rumours that they’ll be heading into the Welsh castle.

And despite the show yet to kick off, it is thought that Vernon, 46, is already the king of the castle with a cool £150,000 fee for his potential three-week stint, according to The Sun.

Meanwhile, AJ, 25, who quit his role on Strictly Come Dancing last year, will bag the lowest wage of £50,000, the same base rate as Strictly pros.

The publication also reports that the second highest earner is Coronation Street’s Beverley Callard, with the Liz McDonald actress set to get £125,000.

The third top earner is opera singer Russell Watson, who is also expected to pocket a not-too-shabby three-figure sum of £100,000.

Elsewhere, fresh from departing her role as Chantelle Atkins in EastEnders, actress Jessica Plummer is set to land on her feet with an impressive £75,000 earner.

Joining her in the £75,000 club is presenter Victoria Derbyshire, while The Sun reports that West End star Ruthie Henshall will receive the same amount.

Finally, AJ Pritchard and gold-medallist Hollie Arnold are thought to be taking home the least amount out of all the celebrities, pocketing £50,000.

Professional dancer AJ is reportedly set to earn the amount which is the flat fee he would have earned should he have remained on Strictly.

While Hollie is a last-minute addition to the line-up following the postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

MailOnline have contacted representatives of the rumoured celebrities and I’m A Celebrity for comment.

It comes as the reported stars of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! 2020 were seen arriving one by one at a west London studio over the weekend.

Photos show several of the famous faces said to be heading to Wales for this year’s adapted series turning up in face masks, heading into the building.

It’s thought they were having their promo shots taken, before the two-week isolation period they will have to go through to take part in the COVID-safe version of the reality show at Gwyrch Castle.

The likes of Vernon Kay, Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire were spotted arriving, being taken inside for the shoot.

In the snaps all of the celebs were seen getting out of blacked-out vehicles while donning face masks which partially obscured their identities.

The stars kept things casual for the apparent photoshoot, where they reportedly tried on their camp uniforms, and arrived in comfortable clothing such as jumpers and hoodies.
