Maisie Smith teased fans that week two of Strictly Come Dancing is ‘not ready’ for her as she enjoyed a McDonald’s while on a break from rehearsals.

The EastEnders star, 19, performed an impressive Samba on last week’s show with her dance partner Gorka Marquez. 

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a clip of herself dancing while she sipped on a large drink and told viewers to expect great things from her next performance.

She wrote: ‘Issa new week, let’s go. Week 2 you’re not even ready for me (Just warming up).’

The soap star cut a casual figure in the video, donning a navy jumper and a large yellow headband.

The actress let her locks fall loose down her shoulders in the video as she danced to a grime track. 

Maisie impressed the judges on last week’s show, earning an impressive 24 out of 30 for her first dance.

It comes after Strictly Come Dancing bosses are said to be monitoring flirty contestants Maisie and HRVY after their Instagram exchanges sparked concerns they could break COVID-19 guidelines.

The duo are understood to have been warned that they could bring the other cast into risk if they get any closer, as separate couples are ordered to maintain social distancing during filming.

It comes after the pair raised eyebrows when they engaged in a flirty exchange on Instagram, with HRVY also admitting on Saturday he ‘loves’ Maisie.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Maisie and HRVY are being monitored by the producers after it’s become clear their connection could easily lead into a Strictly romance.

‘Maisie and HRVY are being monitored by the producers after it’s become clear their connection could easily lead into a Strictly romance.

‘They’re both young, single and hot and the thought is that the two of them could bring the other cast into risk if they break the guidelines and get closer.’ 

Meanwhile the Strictly cast are believed to have secretly named bosses the ‘passion patrol’.

A Strictly Come Dancing representative declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

The first live show saw a peak audience of 10.1 million on Saturday, as viewers flocked to tune into the family favourite.

The show raked in a total of 1.6million more viewers than 2019, suggesting that the familiar format is a comfort to many amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The BBCs show’s ratings tally make it the second most-watched entertainment programme of the year, behind Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Saturday’s episode saw Judges Shirley Ballas, 60, Craig Revel Horwood, 55, and Motsi Mobuse, 39, all return to the judging panel, while Tess Daly, 51, and Claudia Winkleman, 48, hosted.
