Vicky Pattison hits back at ‘hateful’ trolls and insists they will be BLOCKED

Vicky Pattison has been forced to hit back at ‘hateful’ trolls after she shared an empowering snap to Instagram over the weekend.

The former Geordie Shore star, 32, posted a makeup-free photo to her grid as she encouraged her 4.6 million followers to ‘be kind’ and ‘protect their mental health’ after it was announced there would be a new national month-long lockdown.

Yet despite Vicky empowering the majority of her followers with the poignant post, the reality star was trolled by some ‘hateful’ accounts who cruelly branded her a ‘moose’ and ‘attention seeking’.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the former I’m A Celebrity winner hit back at the trolls and insisted anyone spreading negativity would be blocked.

Sharing a lengthy statement, Vicky penned: ‘So this morning I tried to pop a nice post up on my feed where I looked a bit silly.

‘Had pretty crazy hair and ultimately tried to encourage people who follow me, in wake of last night’s disappointing and frustrating news to practice a little kindness, to themselves and each other…’

Vicky continued: ‘I understand that it’s an incredibly difficult time right now and this is the last thing anemone wanted… as a nation we are scared, angry and completely crestfallen… but let me just clear something up for anyone who follows me…

‘No matter how angry you might be that this year hasn’t gone your way, no matter how uncertain or scared about the future you may be, no matter what you are feeling

‘Social media is NOT and I repeat NOT the place to project your hate, malice or just general bad attitude.’

Issuing a warning to trolls, Vicky added: ‘So if you are planning on coming on to my page: a place of positivity, warmth, honesty and kindness know that if you bring anything other than those things… like these fools.’

The reality star then shared a collection of screenshots from the cruel trolls where she was branded a ‘moose’ and ‘attention seeking’.

One person said: ‘Get a tan please Vicky!!!! Your looking like Casper @vickypattison get that sorted before lockdown please.’ (sic)

A different account put: ‘Your Instagram is filled with beautiful photos of you then every once in a while this moose appears! x.’ (sic)

While another troll added: ‘The attention seeking is never ending.’ (sic)

Vicky signed off her message with: ‘You will be blocked. Perhaps after I send a sassy reply (depending on my mood).

‘2020 has been s**t enough without anyone having to deal with this b******s. So level up, grow up, respect everyone is having a tough year and f**king be better. Because this trolling s**t is weak sauce and we’re all above it.’

Praising the rest of her 4.6 million followers, Vicky added: ‘Rant OVER. P.s thank you to the lovely majority of people who bring nothing but love and light to my page… you’re THE BEST!!!!’ (sic)

It comes after Vicky posted a makeup-free photo to her grid as she encouraged her 4.6 million followers to ‘be kind’ and ‘protect their mental health’ after it was announced there would be a new national month-long lockdown over the weekend.

She penned: ‘I woke up like this.. Good morning from me & my giant hair.. I know the news we all got yesterday was less than ideal & I Guessed we could all do with a little laugh.

‘The last thing any of us wanted was another lockdown, especially when we’ve already spent so much of this year isolated, alone & apart from the people we love. But here we are.

‘I usually endeavour to be a ray of sunshine across my social but honestly, I just haven’t got it in me today. I’m sad & frustrated.

‘All I do want to say is this, be kind to yourselves over the next month, this situation is hard enough without adding unnecessary pressures.

‘Find something you love to do & do more of that- if it’s yoga, reading, binge watching real crime documentaries, cooking, lying on the sofa with a face mask on reading magazines, running, drinking wine & eating various cheeses… WHATEVER IT IS.. just try & do more of that.’

For her followers: She penned: 'I woke up like this.. Good morning from me & my giant hair.. I know the news we all got yesterday was less than ideal & I Guessed we could all do with a little laugh.'

Vicky added: ‘Because the next month will be hard on all of us, & the last thing we need is to be comparing our lockdown’s to other people’s.

‘We all cope with stress & difficult circumstances differently. Different things bring different people calm. And we need to be mindful of that. So remember, this is a global pandemic, not a productivity contest.

‘Do what makes you happy & brings you some solace- don’t compare yourself to the lass you follow on Insta who’s just baked chia seed, fat free blueberry muffins, lost 6kg, learnt to speak Latin.’

Adding some more examples, she said: ‘Has mastered the clarinet, does a virtual happy hour with her school friends across zoom at 7pm every night & has redecorated her entire house.. (god I was exhausted just writing that).

‘Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with being that person, some people thrive on productivity- & I say this with the utmost respect, if it is you- then hats off to you! But it’s not me.

‘I will be spending my free time over the next month just trying to keep sane, exercising a little, reading, having a couple gins, checking on my family & friends and just not being too hard on myself.

‘This next month is about survival & protecting each other- but make sure you protect your mental health at all costs too, practice some self care don’t compare.’
