SAS Australia’s Mark Billingham reveals what it was like being Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s guard

SAS Australia directing staff Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham has revealed what it was really like being Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s bodyguard.

The 55-year-old said it was ‘great’ working alongside the Hollywood couple and their children for 18 months and revealed their biggest concern was their six kids.

‘The biggest concern for them was the kidnapping of the kids, it’s all about money,’ Billy told Woman’s Day.

‘Angie and Brad are very worried about who goes near the children,’ he revealed.

Billy also said ‘the one thing that surprised me about working with Brad and Angelina was their time management, and how they had time to do everything from family life to work and to charity’.

‘I learned a lot of lessons from them, they learned a lot from me and the beauty of working together was the mutual respect,’ he said.

Angelina and Brad famously fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

The couple married in France in 2014 after 10 years of dating, but they split two years later in September 2016.

Their shock divorce back was allegedly triggered by an incident between Pitt and his then 15-year-old son Maddox, on a family flight home from France.

The alleged altercation was investigated by the LA Country Department of Children and Family Services, and the FBI, though the actor was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing and did not face any charges.

In the period that followed their initial separation in 2016, the pair duked it out in court over custody and financial arrangements, with Pitt arguing he’d provided more than adequate funding but Angie demanding a greater share of his estimated $300 million fortune.

The former power couple share six children: Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12.
