‘It’s better when you don’t have shoes on’: Karl Stefanovic reveals his filthy feet as he goes barefoot for an obstacle course challenge on Today

Today host Karl Stefanovic surprised viewers when he revealed his filthy feet on Friday.

The 46-year-old put on a dapper display in a well-tailored suit and tie ensemble for the morning broadcast.

But toward the end of the show, he and co-host Allison Langdon did an obstacle course challenge, which was refereed by rugby union star Wendell Sailor, 48.

As Allison removed her heels, she told viewers that Karl had gone ‘all morning’ without wearing shoes or socks.

Karl clearly had no problem showing the state of his soles.

He ran around the set and posed on the clean bed, leaving his dirty foot prints on the mattress.

Before the challenge he called going bare foot ‘a Queensland thing.’

‘From when you’re a young age and you’re running from the coppers, it’s better when you don’t have shoes on,’ he jokingly explained.

While Karl seemingly expected a win at the end of the challenge, Wendell declared both the hosts as the winners because he forgot to mention that they needed to get a football through a goal at the end of the challenge.

Allison and Karl have been co-hosting the show together since January, making their debut earlier than expected to cover the Australian bushfire crisis.

Karl was famously fired from the program in December 2018 after 14 years of hosting the long-running TV show, before making his dramatic return.

The announcement came shortly after his wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough, 35, amid growing scrutiny surrounding his personal life.
