Ed Sheeran has lost £1million from the value of his sprawling ‘Sheeranville’ estate because of the renovations he has done, it has been claimed.
The musician spent £4million buying a farmhouse and four neighbouring homes to create his rural idyll in childhood town Framlingham, Suffolk.
He then splashed out a further £3million on extravagant additions including a pub, a tree house, prayer room and wildlife pond.
But, according to The Sun, Sheeran could actually have lopped 25 per cent off the future price of his estate.

Estate agent Paul Gibbens, of website Housebyers4u told the newspaper: ‘As the estate is so unique to Ed’s taste, it could actually have a negative impact on the sale price.
‘And the cost of reverting the features could be hefty.
‘The maintenance of such a large property can also impact the buyer market and all these changes may well have limited its value.’
Sheeran originally bought his Grade-II listed farmhouse for £895,000 in 2012.
The same year, he bought a 16th-Century Grade II listed house next door for £450,000.
In September 2016, he then bought the four-bedroom detached home in front of his farmhouse for £925,000.
His third purchase came in October 2017 with the purchase of the bungalow on the other side of his driveway for £525,000.
In April 2019, he added to his burgeoning estate by buying the home of neighbour Sharon Jest for £875,000.
On his estate, where he lives with his wife Cherry Seaborn, he also has built a pub – named the Lancaster Lock.
The collection of properties also include a walled kitchen garden, greenhouses, an underground cinema and a recording studio.
In 2017, Sheeran had planning permission granted to build a wildlife pond, which neighbours then complained was more for the purposes of a ‘wild lifestyle’ than actual ‘wild life’ after they heard music being played near it.
Last year, Sheerhan was granted permission to build a prayer retreat on his estate.
Sheeran moved to Framlingham with his parents when he was a child and met Ms Seaborn at nearby Thomas Mills High School.
