Ex-pat! Australian model Shanina Shaik reveals she has relocated from the USA to London due to ‘visa issues’ related to coronavirus pandemic

Shanina Shaik has revealed that she has relocated to London, England, after being unable to remain in the USA over ‘visa issues’. 

In a recent Instagram post, the 29-year-old explained: ‘Due to COVID and unfortunately my USA visa expiring I’m here in London.’ 

The model did not explain what her visa issues were, but added that she hoped to return to Australia once travel restrictions related to the pandemic were eased.

For the meantime, she explained she was happy in London and surrounded by friends. 

‘I love it here. Lucky to have an amazing group of friends here with me,’ she told her fans. 

Shanina has been sharing lots of photos from her new home in the British capital, and has been working out in local parks in London.

It comes after the beauty spoke candidly about her split from husband DJ Ruckus, saying it resulted in her hitting ‘rock bottom’.

The model and the musician, real name Gregory Andrews, parted ways in June 2019, with her filing for divorce a month later, after 14 months of marriage. Their divorce was finalised on January 23.

Discussing the amount of attention the break-up received, Shanina told Roxie Nafousi on The Moments That Made Me that she was so overwhelmed she ‘hid away’ with her family in Australia to escape from it.

Shanina explained: ‘That was a moment for me when I hit rock bottom. As soon as it was filed, TMZ grabbed a hold of it and it was all over the internet.  

‘And It’s embarrassing. […] I ran off to Australia with my family while this was all happening and turned off my phone.

‘I hid away in Australia while this was all happening,’ she went on. 

Shanina has since moved on with businessman Seyed Payam Mirtorabi, and she made their relationship Instagram official in February.
