The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion will stream in Australia on Stan

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion is set to stream in Australia on STAN – as it’s revealed Will Smith is developing a spin-off of the iconic sitcom

Stars of the iconic ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air recently reunited for the show’s 30th anniversary.

And now Stan has announced fans will be able to stream the much anticipated special from Thursday, October 19.

In a recently released trailer for the upcoming reunion special, Will Smith – who played himself in the series – is seen sharing laughs and a few tears as he catches up with his former co stars on the set of the famous Banks Family lounge room.

The reunion will see the Men In Black star reunite with original cast mates including Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell and Daphne Maxwell Reid. 

Smith will also catch up with former co-star Janet Hubert, who originated the role of Aunt Viv. It will be the first time pair have caught up in  27 years. 

Aside from all the iconic familiar faces, the 30th Anniversary Reunion Special will also feature music and a host of special surprise guests yet to be revealed.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air marked Smith’s transition from rapper to actor.

Prior to scoring his role on part on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smith was in the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. 

On the show, Smith portrayed a teenager bred in West Philadelphia who was sent to live with his well-to-do relatives in Bel-Air, California to clean up his act. 

Smith went on to star in the hit sitcom for six seasons.  

To celebrate the anniversary and cast reunion, all 148 episodes of the original series will be available to stream on Stan from Thursday, October 19.

The much anticipated reunion comes as it was revealed Will is in the process of developing a spin-off of the sitcom.

Smith’s digital content studio Westbrook Media will oversee the new show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Will and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith established Westbrook Media in July to look over their multiple projects including Overbrook Entertainment and Red Table Talk Enterprises.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion Special will be available to stream from Thursday, October 19, exclusively on Stan.
