He’s the Love Island Australia star who was memorably mocked for his bowl haircut.

But 12 months on from appearing in the popular dating series, Adam Farrugia now looks completely different.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 28-year-old looked almost unrecognisable when he shared a picture of himself sporting his latest transformation.

What a change: Adam Farrugia, 28, looks completely different 12 months on from appearing on Love Island Australia

The fitness enthusiast and model has foregone his famous bowl cut for a fresh clean shave – and captioned the post, ‘balding’.

Adam’s tattoos were on show as he stood shirtless in the picture and stared sensually into the lens of the camera.

He completed his look with a nose piercing on his right side and a gold chain hanging around his neck.

The model’s transformation sent tongues wagging among fans, with many gushing over how handsome Adam looked.

‘I can’t take it,’ one Instagram follower commented, before another wrote: ‘Ooooh my god, so handsome.’

Adam’s dramatic new look comes after he was mocked by Love Island Australia fans for his quirky bowl cut.

In January, he revealed the hairstyle was the result of the producers throwing him under the bus by giving him a ‘sh*t haircut’ for his promotional photos.

Not what he was expecting: Ken from the movie Toy Story, Mr Spock from Star Trek and a plastic Lego character were other notable comparisons

Speaking on the second episode of his YouTube vlog, he said: ‘I actually turned up with long hair, well longer hair, because they told me to grow it.’

Adam admitted he usually styled his hair in a French crop but the show’s hair stylist cut his brunette locks to appear more like a bowl cut.

‘I got there, the guy cut my hair. No mirror, no clippers – all he had was scissors! He chopped my crop in and just fully cooked it. That’s why, in my promo photos, they were so sh*t!’ he said.
