Candice Warner admits she didn’t expect to be booted off SAS Australia – but she did her ‘absolute best and it just wasn’t good enough’

She’s was savagely booted from SAS Australia on Tuesday night’s episode, alongside former Underbelly actor Firass Dirani.

And on Wednesday, Candice Warner, 35, admitted she didn’t expect to be sent home because she didn’t ‘feel like it was my turn yet’.

‘I don’t know [why they sent me home] and when I watch it back, it still doesn’t make a lot of sense but it’s their course and I have to respect their decision,’ Candice told 97.3FM’s Robin, Terry & Bob.

‘They must have seen that I had maybe reached my limit but who knows. At the end of the day I gave it absolutely everything that I had and I left nothing on the course.’

‘So I’m not too disappointed with what I gave,’ she said.

Candice went on to say: ‘I didn’t expect my name to be called out and that’s being completely honest because I didn’t feel like it was my turn yet.’

‘But you never know what they’re looking for. And my best just wasn’t good enough for them,’ she said.

On Tuesday, Candice was seen breaking down in tears to her husband David Warner as she rang him and told him she’d been eliminated from the show.

‘My armband just got taken from me, so I’m out now,’ the former Ironwoman told her husband of five years.

Despite feeling upset about her shock elimination, Candice acknowledged that she was also ready to come home.

‘I think, realistically, today was my limit. It was tough. You would be so surprised at some of the stuff I’ve done,’ she continued.

David reassured Candice that he was ‘really proud’ of her, even though she didn’t make it to the end of the course.

Candice faced a tough few weeks on the show, after being interrogated over her husband’s ball-tampering scandal and then falling out with her former friend Roxy Jacenko, after she punched her during a boxing match.
