Former MasterChef star Adam Liaw set to return to TV with new reality cooking show on SBS

He won MasterChef in 2010 and has gone on to have a successful cooking career.

And now, Adam Liaw is preparing to return to TV with his new reality cooking show, The Cook Up with Adam Liaw, on SBS Food.

SBS Australia announced the 42-year-old’s show will air weeknights at their annual upfronts on Wednesday.

The chef will be joined by a special guest every day to discuss food-related topics, and give viewers cooking tips for the 200-episode series.

Adam also has a food travel series called Roadtrip for Good, which will air on SBS Food next month.

The four part series follows the chef as he visits regions of NSW, Victoria and South Australia that were heavily impacted by bushfires.

Meanwhile, SBS also announced five locally commissioned drama series’, including New Gold Mountain, which has already started production in Victoria.  

The program will tell the story of the Australian gold rush from the perspective of Chinese miners.

The network also announced new series Copping It Black, a four-part program which follows Detective Toni Alma who is on an epic hunt for a killer.

Eurovision will be back in 2021, and SBS will also air Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras live to lounge rooms across Australia.
