Lori Loughlin adjusting to life behind bars after ‘weepy’ start as she serves two-month prison sentence for college admission scandal

She’s three weeks into a two-month sentence in federal prison for her part in the college admissions scandal.

And after a ‘weepy’ start, it seems former Full House star Lori Loughlin is adjusting to life behind bars.

‘She has not had any specific problems,’ a source told People Tuesday. ‘No one has tried any s*** with her. No one is bullying her. The guards aren’t treating her any differently than other inmates.’

Jailed: Three weeks into a two-month sentence, Lori Loughlin, 56, is adjusting to life behind bars in federal prison after a ‘weepy’ start, a source told People on Tuesday (pictured 2019)

Loughlin, 56, is serving her sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Dublin in northern California after arriving there on October 30.

‘She was a little weepy on her first night there,’ People’s source shared. ‘But she pulled herself together quickly.’

‘Now she’s resolved to finish her sentence with her head held high,’ the insider added.

The actress had been sentenced in August and was reported to have had to spend her first two weeks of confinement in isolation due to COVID-19 protocols.

Meanwhile, Loughlin’s husband Mossimo Giannulli, 57, has until Thursday to report to the Federal Correctional Institution, Lompoc in central California to begin serving his five-month sentence.

Loughlin and Gianulli entered guilty pleas to charges of fraud after paying $500,000 to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into prestigious University of Southern California masquerading as athletic recruits.

At her Zoom sentencing in August, a tearful Loughlin told the judge in Boston that she was ‘deeply sorry’.

She stated: ‘I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage… and in doing so I ignored intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass.

‘I thought I was acting out of love for my children, but in reality it only undermined and diminished my daughters’ abilities and accomplishments,’ she said.
