Bachelor: Faith Williams ‘thanks’ the dating show for helping her new career

Where is she now? Ex-Bachelor star Faith Williams ‘thanks’ the dating show for helping her start an exciting new career

She was one of the women vying for Richie Strahan’s heart on The Bachelor in 2016.

But four years after appearing on the Channel 10 dating show, Faith Williams looks remarkably different – and her career has taken a new turn, too.

The 30-year-old has tapped into her entrepreneurial skills and went from working as a hairdresser to owning her own salon in Brisbane.

‘I guess I leveraged off the Bachelor to do my own thing. I have the show to thank for the exposure. I just started being a sole trader, renting a chair. I did that for about a year and a half,’ she told The Wash on Thursday.

‘Then work just really took off from there and I was just always fully booked, couldn’t take on any new clients, couldn’t grow any more.’

Since opening her BLONDEE by Faith Williams salon in September 2019, Faith’s business has grown to a staff of nine and a wait list of about 400 clients.

‘I think it’s been what, four seasons since I was on the show? I feel like a lot has happened since then. I had a great time on the show. I thought the experience was awesome,’ she said.

Faith has also found love with businessman Jeremy Hassell, whom she met two months after being booted from The Bachelor.

They were first spotted together in October 2016, when they shared a warm goodbye at Brisbane Airport, before she hopped on a plane to Bali.

Jeremy is the co-founder and director of City Cave, a ‘float centre’ which touts itself as a reliever in joint pain and anxiety.

Faith left The Bachelor after making it to the top five – and later revealed she felt like she’d been friend-zoned by Richie towards the end.

‘I couldn’t understand why he would put me on a date where we had no time together, whereas all the other girls that had second dates had the beautiful romantic dates,’ she told Elle in September 2016.

‘Every other girl’s date was a lot different to mine, so that made me realise, “I think I’m being friend-zoned.”‘
