I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! bosses have reportedly had to remind the campmates to wash and sanitise in order to keep coronavirus at bay.

And, during Friday night’s instalment of the ITV show, Victoria Derbyshire, 52, admitted that someone in camp ‘smells’ and that she was debating whether or not to tell them to ‘get in the shower.’

Immediately before after her comments, editors of the show cut footage to show Sir Mo Farah, 37, walking back to camp following his first solo trial. 

Ouch! During Friday night’s instalment of the ITV show, Victoria Derbyshire, 52, admitted that someone smells and that she was debating whether or not to tell them to ‘get in the shower’

While standing with Giovanna Fletcher and Victoria, Vernon Kay asked: ‘Be honest with me: ‘Do I smell?’

Immediately, broadcaster Victoria said: ‘No you don’t’ to which Vernon responded: ‘Someone smells!’

‘Yeh, I know who it is and I’m debating whether or not to just say: “Get in the shower!” admitted Victoria, with the camera quickly cutting to Mo Farah walking back from his trial, however there is no assertion that Victoria was talking about Mo.

Victoria’s claim comes after it was reported that I’m A Celebrity bosses are desperate to avoid a coronavirus crisis like Strictly Come Dancing, which would cause havoc on set if someone were to catch it.

According to The Sun, camp mates including AJ Pritchard, Shane Richie and Sir Mo Farah have been told how important it is to keep ‘good hygiene’. 

It comes after BBC R1 presenter Jordan North, 30, admitted he had been wearing the same underpants for three days, while AJ Pritchard, 26, confessed he had too.

A source told the publication: ‘Regular washing is the way to keep the bug at bay, as the government has reiterated from the word go.

‘ITV have worked so hard to get to this point, so the last thing they want is something to derail that.

The insider added: ‘Producers have reminded contestants to maintain a good level of hygiene, which means regular hand washing and showers where possible.’

As well as reinforcing the importance of cleanliness on set, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 45, are ensuring to remain socially-distanced in camp. 

Despite the fact they took precautions by asking camp mates to isolate for two weeks, there is apparently still a slight risk they could catch it from other sources.

The newspaper said that everyone working on the show is being tested for Covid-19 twice a week and the site is regularly deep-cleaned.  

Everyone who works on the show is getting two tests a week, and the entire site in Abergele is being regularly deep-cleaned.
