The Block: Dave Hughes wears face mask and inspects properties

Dave Hughes famously purchased Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker’s five-bedroom home on The Block back in 2017, for $3.06million. 

And, it appears that the comedian and radio star could be looking to splash out on another property from the hit Channel Nine renovation show. 

On Friday, the 49-year-old was spotted inspecting the Melbourne homes, that are expected to fetch around $3.2 – 3.4million at Saturday’s auction. 

Putting safety first, Dave wore a black and white gingham face mask, while touring the home amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  

The radio presenter looked stylish in a deep mauve checked shirt, which he paired with green pants and brown boots. 

He completed the look with a watch, as he carried a pair of glasses and kept his silver locks scruffy.  

It is believed that Dave inspected Sarah and George Bragias’ stunning renovated 1940s home during the outing.

The Melbourne local looked serious as he was spotted arriving at the properties, where he was accompanied by buyer’s agent Greville Pabst and a cameraman. 

Greville looked dashing in black slacks and a navy suit jacket, as he toted a property brochure. 

Meanwhile, the cameraman cut a casual figure in an all black ensemble that he paired with brown boots.    

Dave was pictured chatting away to the two men, before they entered the stunning property to take a peek inside. 

It is unsure if Dave is looking to purchase a home or was visiting the properties for another purpose, but Daily Mail Australia has reached out for comment.  

Sarah and George’s stunning property features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and an additional studio residence for guests. 

It also boasts, a huge kitchen and stunning outdoor space featuring a pool and an integrated barbecue and pizza oven.

During the renovation, the couple embraced the homes heritage features, while still producing an incredibly modern and luxurious home. 

Dave’s interest in the house comes after he bought Elyse and Josh’s house in Elsternwick, back in 2017 for $3.067million.

Earlier this year, the comedian listed the five-bedroom home for rent at $2,000 per week.

In the past, Hughesy admitted he regretted buying the home after finding out it wasn’t worth the price tag.

He told Stellar magazine in February 2018 he was ‘annoyed’ after the bank valued the property at ‘much less’ than the hefty $3million he’d paid.

‘I went to get a bank loan the other day and they haven’t valued it the same as I paid for it, which is fine, but annoying because there were five bidders,’ he said.

The Block auctions will air Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
