A mother has shared a clever trick that will shaves hours off your laundry routine – because you’ll never need to iron again.
Kate Murray washes clothes on a gentle cycle and shakes each item vigorously before draping damp garments over coat hangers to pull them into shape.
The mum from Sydney then hooks the hangers to her clothesline using sturdy ‘HEGS’ pegs, which prevent clothes from blowing in the wind and creasing.
Once dry, Ms Murray hangs everything straight in her wardrobe – no ironing required.

The South Australian made pegs have hooks on either side which allow you to hang clothes without clamping down on fabric, leaving less peg and crease marks
‘I’ve done this for years and used to use normal pegs on each coat hanger but Hegs pegs make things even easier!’ she wrote in the caption.
The pegs, which are made in South Australia and cost $6 for packs of 18 at leading supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths, have hooks on either side which allow you to hang clothes without clamping down on fabric, leaving less peg and crease marks.
They can even be used to hang multiple garments at once, with tank tops and strappy dresses draped over the hooks and heavier pieces like jeans and jackets secured under the clamp.
Those looking to buy in bulk can pick up 42-packs for $13 at Big W.
Photos of the trick, which have been liked almost 900 times since they were posted in a Facebook cleaning group on Sunday night, have drawn hundreds of delighted responses.
‘Fantastic idea, thanks for sharing. I use these pegs and will start doing the same,’ one woman replied.

A third confirmed the pegs are superior to others on the market, writing: ‘Unlike a lot of pegs, they don’t mark clothing either.’
