The Block 2020 finale: Jimmy and Tam are crowned the WINNERS with a whopping $966K profit on top of the $100K cash prize

After months of blood, sweat and tears, The Block’s five couples took their houses to auction on Sunday night’s episode.  

Jimmy and Tam were crowned the winners with a profit of $966,000, on top of the $100,000 cash prize.   

The Brisbane-based couple were understandably ecstatic, with Tam remarking after the bidding: ‘Oh my goodness, can you believe that just happened?’

Tam and Jimmy chose to go second in the auction order, with a reserve price of $3,290,000.

They received a bid of $4,256,000, resulting in a profit of $966,000.

Host Scott Cam announced that Tam and Jimmy made ‘more money than anybody’s made on this show forever’.    

Luke and Jasmin started off proceedings, with a reserve price of $3,350,000. 

The Perth-based couple received a bid of $3,856,000, resulting in a profit of $506,000. 

Luke and Jasmin revealed they are now able to pay off their mortgage, saying on camera: ‘This is going to change a lot for us.’ 

The Block 2020: Teams and their profits 

Jimmy and Tam: $966,000 and $100,00 cash prize  

Sarah and George: $650,002  

Harry and Tash: $650,000

Luke and Jasmin: $506,000 

Daniel and Jade: $460,000 

 

Sarah and George were understandably ecstatic as they pocketed an incredible $650,002, with a bid of $4,000,0002, over their reserve of $3,350,000. 

Wiping away tears of joy from her face, Sarah remarked on camera that ‘it’s nuts’.

South Australian couple Daniel and Jade pocketed $460,000, with a bid of $3,800,000, over their reserve of $3,340,000.

Daniel and Jade said the money would ‘ease the pressures’, allow them to ‘spend more time with the kids’ and not ‘work as hard’.   

Victorian father and daughter duo Harry and Tash pocketed $650,000, with a bid of $4,000,000, over their reserve of $3,350,000.  

Tash praised her father, saying on camera: ‘I’m so proud of him. It is not easy for him. He did such an amazing job. He has worked his a** off his whole life for us kids, he’s given us everything. It’s good, dad. So good. Oh, my God.’
