The Block 2020 finale: Luke and Jasmin make more than $500,000 in profit after selling their home for a whopping $3,856,000

The Block’s Luke and Jasmin were able to pay off their mortgage after getting a profit of more than $500,000 at auction. 

During Sunday’s season finale, the Perth couple made a huge $506,000 in profit after their home went under the hammer for $3,856,000. 

The couple were ecstatic with their mortgage paid off after the bidding reached more than $440,000 in profit for them.

‘This is going to change a lot for us,’ Jasmin said, breaking down in tears. 

‘What a day, what a day, she added. 

Luke was equally thrilled after the stellar result.

Clutching each other’s hands, the couple cheered as they walked back to the group.

After a series of slow bids, the ‘profit’ made a leap by $50,000.

It quickly jumped again to an estimated profit of around $205,000. 

As the bids climbed, the couple got emotional thinking how their mortgage would get paid off. 

‘That is nearly our mortgage paid off,’ Jasmin said, starting to cry as she understood the gravitas of the amount.

‘We’ve almost paid the mortgage off,’ Luke added, clearly elated. 

After the couple pocketed the $506,000, Scott Cam offered his sincere congratulations to them.  

Earlier in the episode, the pair seemed happy enough after Jimmy and Tam chose the order of the auctions.
