Channing Tatum reveals his new shaved head look after wrapping production on his new film Dog

While many actors change up their look for a new role, Channing Tatum does so after wrapping production.

The 40-year-old actor returned to Instagram for the first time in nearly two months, to share a new selfie after shaving his head.

The Logan Lucky star revealed that he shaves his head after wrapping every movie, which he just did on Monday after wrapping his project dubbed simply Dog.

‘There is nothing and i mean nothing as good as finishing the hardest job of my life. And then shaving my head and letting the character go,’ Tatum began.

‘It’s a bit of a ritual. A freeing of myself. And being free is always my highest intention. And I’m about to be sooooo freee!!!’  he continued.

‘Hahahaha i have so much love in my heart for everyone that was on this journey with me,’ the actor added.

He also linked to his project @dogthefilm, adding, ‘and so much love for the people out there in the world that need love right now. Sending it up for all…..right….. now.’

Dog marks Tatum’s directorial debut, co-directing with Reid Carolin from a script they both wrote with Brett Rodriguez.

Tatum stars as an Army ranger named Briggs, who journeys up the Pacific Coast Highway with his Belgian Malinois named Lulu to make it to the funeral of Briggs’ best friend, and Lulu’s handler.

MGM picked up Dog back in March, before filming got underway, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film is currently slated for release on May 7, 2021, though there is no word on when we might get our first look at the film.

He is also slated to voice George Washington in America: The Movie, and star in the R-rated comedy Wingmen alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who also directs.

The actor recently came on the market again, after his break-up with singer Jessie J back in October. 

The couple started dating back in 2018, just months after Tatum’s split with his ex-wife Jenna Dewan.

The couple were married for just under nine years and they share a daughter named Everly.
