Sam Burgess’ brothers rally around him amid legal battle with ex-wife Phoebe and her father

Sam Burgess’ brother Luke has shared a smiling picture alongside the former NRL star amid his ongoing legal drama with his ex-wife Phoebe and her father.

On Monday, Luke, 33, posted a picture of himself posing alongside Sam, 31, and their younger brother Thomas, 28.

All were suited and booted, and grinned widely for the happy snap, which Luke captioned: ‘Just missing @georgeburgess.’

He completed the post with the hashtags ‘family’ and ‘brothers’.

In the image, Sam was seen wearing a smart blue shirt with a pinstripe blazer on top.

Thomas looked dapper in a black blazer and silver tie, while Luke donned a denim-style shirt and a stone blazer.

Sam shares custody of his two children – Poppy, who turns four in January, and Billy, who will be two next month – with his ex-wife Phoebe.

The former couple married in 2015 at her parents’ country estate near Bowral, but separated in September last year.

Sam is accused of assaulting Phoebe’s father at the sprawling Hooke family home, although no actual physical violence has been alleged against him.

Police have also taken out an interim AVO to protect Mr Hooke from Burgess, who has had no contact with his former father-in-law for more than a year.

The charges and the AVO stem from an October 2019 incident at the Hookes’ estate.

Meanwhile, Sam’s lawyers have accused either Phoebe, Mitchell or both of leaking damaging claims about Sam to the media.
