Solange Knowles makes it Instagram official with rumored boyfriend Gio Escobar

Solange Knowles has a new man in her life, making it official with jazz composer Gio Escobar.

The 34-year-old singer, and sister to Beyonce Knowles, shared a smiling snap of the couple on her Instagram story on Sunday.

Shortly thereafter, a source close to the singer confirmed to Page Six that Knowles and Escobar are in fact a couple.

‘[He] is her boo. People know. It’s not a new thing, but it’s new for the public. It’s a big deal that she shared the photo because she’s so private,’ the insider said.

The source added, ‘She’s super happy and they’re a happy couple. They’re very cute together.’

Knowles’ rep hasn’t responded to request for comment on the new relationship status of the singer.

This appears to be Knowles’ first relationship since her split from music video director Alan Ferguson.

The couple tied the knot at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans in November 2014, though they split in November 2019.

Knowles also denied that she was having an affair with her manager, John Bogard, after they were spotted walking together.

‘Yo ty @onvacation for bein the best co-manager for 5 yrs. sorry the internetsss are so unkind n b lying. go back to enjoying ya vacation,’ she said at the time.

In another Instagram post, she explained the past two had brought her, ‘physical and spiritual transition than ever before.’

She added, ‘my body left me with no choice but to listen and be still [and] within that stillness i begin my journey in confronting my worst enemy, fear.’

The marriage to Ferguson, 57, was Knowles’ second, following her marriage to Daniel Smith in 2004, when she was just 17 and he was 19.

Knowles shares her only child with Smith, a 15-year-old son named Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr. 

She released her fourth studio album When I Get Home back in March 2019.
