Sarah Ferguson thoroughly embraced the festive spirit in her latest Instagram video, in which she sported an adorable elf hat and gave viewers a glimpse of her Christmas decorations. 

The Duchess of York, 61, who has been spending most of the year at Royal Lodge in Windsor with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, caused a stir online in her latest getup – causing fans to insist she’ll be a ‘fantastic grandmother’.

Sarah’s youngest daughter Princess Eugenie, 30, is expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank. 

Although this yuletide will be different, Sarah, most commonly known as Fergie, assured children that they can still chat with Santa Claus thanks to Elf News.

Taking to her Instagram account, the duchess explained that the station (which is website based) will be donating a percentage of its profits to her foundation Sarah’s Trust.

Wearing a colourful red and green hat complete with elf ears, Sarah sat in front of her fireplace, which was decorated with wreaths and candles.

There was also a small Christmas tree, which already had a few toys underneath it as well as a gold reindeer figurine.

In the clip, Sarah, who is also mother to Princess Beatrice, said: ‘It’s so exciting. Elf News is bringing you Santa. 

‘So for girls and boys and everybody, the children out there, in hospices, hospitals, and who are really struggling, do not worry, you will be able to talk to Santa.
