Khloe Kardashian confirmed her family’s annual Christmas Eve soiree is canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 36-year-old reality star responded to a fan who asked about the upcoming event on Instagram Monday morning.
Khloe cited ‘health and safety’ concerns for postponing the event for the first time in nearly 40 years due to rising case numbers of the coronavirus in California.

‘The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year,’ she said.
‘It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978 I believe. Health and safety first though! Taking this pandemic seriously is a must.’
In addition to putting a halt to their festive affair, the Kardashian/Jenner brood will not be taking Christmas photos.

‘We have not done anything,’ Khloe responded. ‘No Christmas photos and no Christmas Eve party this year. Covid has taken over.’
While the family is just now seemingly realizing the severity of the pandemic, they’ve been slammed multiple times through the last few months for hosting lavish affairs with friends and family outside of their individual homes.
