Indiana Jones was one of the most successful film characters of the 1980s, known for his swashbuckling demeanor, good looks and mortal fear of snakes.

He appeared in three entries back then: Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989.

The third installment costarred Sean Connery – who recently passed away at the age of 90 – as Indiana’s father.

A fourth entry, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released to far lesser fanfare in 2008.
