Billie Lourd sends ‘love and strength’ to those who’ve lost people as she pays tribute to late mom Carrie Fisher four-years after her tragic death
Billie Lourd is missing her mom Carrie Fisher on the four-year anniversary of her death.
The 28-year-old American Horror Story actress paid tribute to the Star Wars legend on Sunday as she shared a throwback snap of the pair.
While sending ‘love and strength’ to anyone who has lost a loved one, the third-generation Hollywood star reflected on her sadness this year.

Lourd wrote, ‘Sending my love and strength to everyone out there that’s missing a loved one they’ve lost. Especially those of you who have lost someone during this crazy year. You’re not alone.’
In the snap a much younger Billie and the Star Wars actress were seen walking in London as Fisher carried a coke in her hand.
The Scream Queens star has it especially hard this year after welcoming her first child into the world, Kingston Fisher, with her fiance Austen Rydell.
Fisher died on December 27, 2016 just days after suffering cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles at the age of 60.
Though being in stable condition following the incident, she passed away from ‘sleep apnea and other undetermined factors,’ according to medical examiners who also found multiple drugs in her system including heroin and cocaine.

Lourd has been open about her mother’s addiction as she said she ‘battled drug addiction and mental illness her entire life,’ something which Billie saus ‘she ultimately died of.’
‘I know my Mom, she’d want her death to encourage people to be open about their struggles. Seek help, fight for government funding for mental health programs. Shame and those social stigmas are the enemies of progress to solutions and ultimately a cure. Love you Momby,’ she said.
Tragically Lourd’s grandmother and Fisher’s mom Debbie Reynolds died just a day later after having a stroke.
Lourd has credited her role in American Horror Story Cult with saving her life.
‘When Ryan (Murphy) offered me Cult, it was just a few months after my mom passed, and it honestly helped me process all of my emotions through these characters,’ she told ET.

‘Being able to cry for Winter helped me cry for myself. And it’s been really healing and cathartic in an amazing way,’ as she said ‘Honestly, it kind of saved my life.’
The actress has since starred in the Olivia Wilde directed comedy Booksmart and gotten engaged and started a family.
She and Rydell have been on and off for years as their relationship dates back to 2015, though they only seemed to become officially on-again in 2017 after she and Twilight’s Taylor Lautner broke up.
The pair got engaged in June and welcomed their child into the world in late September, after keeping her pregnancy entirely under wraps.
She is now combining her late mother and grandmother’s Beverly Hills properties (they lived side by side) into one massive $18M mansion following Kingston’s birth.
