‘@beyonce gifted all of her girls with this amazing custom 2020 necklace,’ Angie shared with her 200,000 followers on Instagram.

‘It’s a hand with middle finger and the year 2020 combined into one. When I opened it my eyes teared up because it is both Hilarious & Deeply Sentimental. 2020 has had ups and downs but over all its been a really weird and tuff year. Hopefully 2021 is good to the world.’

The year was made challenging with a host of global issues, including the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, and a US presidential election which was decided three days after polls closed, just to name a few.

Beyonce reflected on the last year while starring on the cover of British Vogue’s December issue, with images captured by Kennedi Carter, who at 21-years-old is the youngest photographer to shoot a cover in the publication’s 104-year history.

‘It would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed,’ Beyoncé said. ‘I have learnt that my voice is clearer when I am still. I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life.’
