Joss added that she is now feeling ‘all right’ about giving birth and that she’s ‘so excited the baby’s coming’.

Talking to People, she said: ‘I was having these moments … I remember I woke up one night, and I sat on the edge of the bed, and I said to Cody, “Oh no,” and I burst into tears.

‘I said, “I’ve got to get it out. At some point it has to come out. Now it’s in. My God, Jesus. What if I split in half?” You don’t read about that.’

Joss added: ‘I’m doing fine. I feel all right. The doctor’s saying, “You know, you really need to just not do anything.” I’m like, “Well, I’m kind of not doing anything.” He’s like, “No, you really actually have to lie down horizontal.” I’m like, “Oh, I’m not really used to that.”‘

Joss admitted that she had been ‘running around’ and has now realised that when you’re ‘making a person’ you need to rest.

The star also joked that she has been ‘eating everything’ and one pregnancy craving saw her eat seven oranges during a car ride home.

Joss revealed in October that she was 17 weeks pregnant with her first child with her American musician boyfriend, Cody.

Speaking on her A Cuppa Happy podcast, she made the announcement and admitted the idea of giving birth ‘terrifies’ her.

Joss said: ‘Guess what? I am going to have a little baby! I am so excited to talk to you [Ella Mills] because I don’t know many pregnant women. I am week 17 and I just stopped being sick all the time.’

Of her labour fears, she said: ‘My boyfriend kept saying to me, “Pain is temporary”.

‘Temporary, it is temporary! Oh my God it is horrible! Leave me alone! I am just going to cry!

‘I woke up in the middle of the night – randomly – and I was like: “Oh my god I am really scared!” I just got really terrified of having to push it out!’

The singer recently admitted she was close to resorting to an arranged marriage because she couldn’t find love.

The Super Duper Love songstress has previously dated men in the music industry but said before her current partner she ‘couldn’t find a man’.

Joss said she has been inspired by watching reality TV shows about matchmaking and commented ‘when it goes well, it’s lovely and so romantic’.

The star added that she loved 90 Day Fiancé which is ‘hilarious’ but awful’ as people can be on the show for the wrong reasons.

She said: ‘Sometimes they really are in love, and I always want it to work out. When it goes well, it’s lovely and so romantic. I love romance: I’ve also started watching Indian Matchmaker.

‘I considered arranged marriages before I met Cody, because I couldn’t find a man.’

It is unclear how long Joss and Cody have been dating. Information about their romance, and indeed, the man himself, is sparse.

In October, Joss shared an ‘accent challenge’ video with Cody, who is American. In it she said: ‘Okay so I said, I really like mashed potato and this is what Cody heard.’

The camera panned across to Cody driving as he mimicked Joss’ accent.
