Star Wars stunner Billie Lourd discussed motherhood, her favorite book written by her late mother Carrie Fisher, and more in a Radio Andy interview airing in full this Friday at 1pm EST.
The 28-year-old new mother was grilled by none other than her stepfather Bruce Bozzi, who wed her father CAA co-chairman Bryan Lourd in 2016 when she was 14.
Billie surprised everyone on September 24 by announcing the birth of her son Kingston Fisher three months after announcing her engagement to fiancé Austen Rydell.

‘He’s not technically a quarantine baby,’ Lourd said on SiriusXM show Quarantined with Bruce.
‘And I want to make that known because a lot of people are having trendy quarantine babies Kingston was conceived before quarantine. So he’s technically just a Caribbean baby.’
The Los Angeles native called the coronavirus pandemic a ‘blessing in disguise’ because she got to keep the news all to herself.
‘Only my family knew and nobody else knew, like everyone was so surprised when we posted that little picture of his feet,’ Billie told the 54-year-old Palm Restaurant Group VP.

‘It got to just be something I shared with the people I loved the most, which was so incredible and made my pregnancy so magical and wonderful, which I did not expect it was going to be, but it turned out to be the greatest experience I got to just eat great food, hang out with the people I love, do Legos all the time. I took a HypnoBirthing class and I just, I loved being pregnant.’
In 2016, Lourd began dating the 28-year-old Moon Brothers musician – whose grandfather is On Golden Pond director Mark Rydell – but parenthood brought them even closer together.
‘He was so caring and incredible and cooked for me and gave me foot massages. And [he] did these classes with me,’ the Joe Biden supporter gushed.
‘He did the lactation class, he did the positive birthing class. So he was with me every step of the way. And we just became even closer friends, even better partners. And I think it prepared us to be the best parents and he’s sitting out there with the baby right now. And he is, as you know, the best dad in the world. And I think that’s partially because we got to have this experience together.’

Lourd marveled of the 1994 tome: ‘It’s structured with letters to me while she’s pregnant with me. I’ve got to reread it now that I’ve had a baby I think that it would be a total different experience and so incredible’
Billie also revealed her top three books written by her late mother – Surrender the Pink (about her marriage to Paul Simon), Postcards from the Edge, and Delusions of Grandma.
‘It’s so incredible and it’s structured with letters to me while she’s pregnant with me,’ Lourd marveled of the 1994 tome.
‘I’ve got to reread it now that I’ve had a baby I think that it would be a total different experience and so incredible. But I was supposed to be named Esme, which thank god I wasn’t, sorry to anybody who’s named Esme. It’s a beautiful name but I prefer Billie. It’s super, super sweet and great.’
Sadly, Fisher passed away, age 60, in 2016 from sleep apnea/drugs and the next day her famous grandmother Debbie Reynolds died, age 84, from a stroke.

Billie said she ‘hopes to work again soon’ with Olivia Wilde, who directed her as drug-crazed teen Gigi in the 2019 hit indie comedy Booksmart.
‘I’m so proud of Olivia and so excited for Olivia. She’s amazing. I mean, she was up until 7am with us, like dancing, playing music, like she was so, her energy level was equal to everyone else’s which is,’ Lourd said.
‘That’s so rare in a director and what she really had. And she pushed us all to our limits and in the best way, and like gave us wings literally. And it was just the best experience.’
The Will & Grace guest star will next appear in the mysterious 10th season of America Horror Story, which premieres later this year on FX.
