Kimberley Walsh jokes her ‘bum is always in competition with my bump’ in pregnancy snap

She announced she was expecting her third child with husband Justin Scott, 38, last month. 

And Kimberley Walsh showed off her blossoming bump as she took to Instagram on Tuesday. 

The former Girls Aloud singer, 39, stood side-on to show off her pregnancy curves and joked her ‘bum is always in competition with my bump’. 

 Kimberley cut a casual figure in a black cropped T-shirt and splatter print leggings. 

She wore her hair in a straight sleek look and accentuated her maternity glow with a minimal make-up look.  

Kimberley captioned the shot: ‘Why is my bum always in competition with my bump?! ….bumping along nicely.’

Kimberley, who has two sons; Bobby, six, and Cole, four, announced her pregnancy with OK! Magazine last month and said: ‘We chatted throughout the lockdown and said family is everything and we’re not really done, and we’d quite like to add one more to the fold.’   

Kimberley added: ‘For the family, it’s been a bit of light in the distance and something to look towards and get excited about, and plan for.’ 

The singer explained that the chance to slow her career down this year meant she reevaluated what was most important to her.  

‘I’ve had a few busy years of working and being a mum. I’m of a certain age where it’s a bit now or never.  

‘There was no way in my head that I felt like I was done,’ she said, adding that she waited longer in between having her youngest and falling pregnant again because of her busy schedule.   

Kimberley said she knew she was pregnant the minute her period was late, but the couple waited to break the news to their boys until she was further along.

The pair set up a Christmas treasure hunt which culminated with a note left under the tree, which read: ‘Mummy has a baby in her tummy.’ 

The proud mum revealed her boys are desperate for a baby brother, and unlike her previous pregnancies she is keen to find out the gender at her 20-week scan early next year.
