Liam knocked $1million off the price of the ‘haunted’ Californian compound after renting it out in 2018 when it failed to sell.

He had taken the five bedroom, eight bathroom home off-the-market after the wildfires in California last summer and it’s now available again for $12.99 million.

Liam had previously tried to sell the property in the semi-remote Monte Nido area of the rugged mountains between Malibu and Calabasas for $13.99million after putting it up for sale in January 2018.

He purchased the 4.69-acre property in late 2015 for $10million. Last summer, Liam rented the home for a staggering £46,000 ($60,000) a month.

The singer previously claimed he thinks the home is haunted and lived there with ex-girlfriend Cheryl when she was pregnant with their son, Bear.

The pair sadly split in July, after a three-year romance and their son Bear is two next month.

The 9,659 square-foot property, located in the luxurious Calabasas region, comes with its own spa, vineyard and even a meditation centre – and is where the couple spent much of Cheryl’s pregnancy back in 2016.

Liam first put the home on the market in February as the first rumours began to start that his relationship with former X-Factor judge Cheryl was ‘strained’.

The huge property boasts a number of unique features including a meditation teahouse in the five acre grounds, a private vineyard and even a Koi Pond.

One to snap up: The One Direction star was originally hoping to sell the sprawling pad, listing the property for $13.9million in February 2018, but had a change of heart

As well as the main house, Liam’s property also includes two sizable guest houses and a guard house for security staff, which along with state of the art security systems make the pad the perfect abode for any privacy-loving star.

The property, a short drive away from Malibu’s sandy beaches, features beautiful oak and sycamore tree-laden grounds as well as a resort style pool and spa.

An ‘outdoor living room’ with a kitchen and BBQ area makes for the perfect spot of unwinding after a quick dip, while a home cinema and games room, complete with pool table, table football and arcade machine, provide entertainment on colder nights.

The house nestles in the hills of Calabasas – famously home to the a number of celebrities including Drake, Miley Cyrus and the Kardashian family, who happen to be good friends with Cheryl.

Food for thought: The pad also boats a huge library, complete with fireplace and balcony terrace, where the pair no doubt found inspiration for their music

Back in October 2017, the former One Direction star claimed the pad was haunted, and revealed Cheryl refused to sleep beside him in the bedroom.

Speaking to The Sun, he explained a random woman had approached his mother on the street to inform him the ghost of the previous owner resides in the property.

He said: ‘Cheryl wouldn’t stay in the top room, being pregnant with the baby. I’ve seen lights go on and off in the middle of the night and a few little creepy things, like taps turning on and off.

‘If you don’t believe in it, I don’t think it can get to you. But Cheryl was like, ‘I’m not sleeping upstairs’. So we slept downstairs in the cinema room. First World problems.’

Liam and Cheryl announced their split with an honest statement, writing: ‘We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through.’

Cheryl and Payne first met on The X Factor in 2008, when she was a judge and he auditioned as a solo contestant, then 14 years old, before he became part of One Direction.

It’s understood that Liam has already moved out of the lavish $6.5million, (£5million) mansion he shared with Cheryl and Bear in leafy Surrey.
