Meet the glamorous Gold Coast influencers joining the new season of The Amazing Race Australia

A pair of glamorous influencers from the Gold Coast will put their friendship to the test on the upcoming season of The Amazing Race Australia.

Model Amanda Blanks, 29, and personal trainer Ashleigh Lawrence, 31, join 13 other teams travelling across the country and competing for the $250,000 cash prize.

Amanda, who calls herself an ‘adventure lover’ on Instagram, is no stranger to thrill-seeking fun and has shared photos of herself mountain climbing, hiking and boating.

She told The Courier Mail on Thursday she was excited to discover and experience unseen parts of Australia on the show.

‘It’s such a fun challenge and I love competing, doing challenges and, of course, winning. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that money can’t buy,’ Amanda said.

Ashleigh, who boasts an impressive travel history having visited 73 countries, admitted she hasn’t explored her own country as much.

The brunette told the publication she was ‘super excited’ to explore Australia properly.

‘I am always pretending I’m on The Amazing Race when I’ve had to eat something weird or I’m running through an airport tying not to miss a connecting flight – so it will be cool to race for real!’ she said.

She added of her teammate: ‘The best part of travelling with Amanda is that she is the most fun and always down for an adventure.’

Channel 10 has confirmed the Amazing Race Australia will premiere on February 1. 

The show completed filming in November and was filmed entirely in Australia, after the Covid-19 pandemic made international travel impossible.

The show will launch after the finale of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on January 31.
