‘Enough is enough’: Strictly’s James Jordan reveals he’s put on three stone in two years and now weighs 15 and a half stone as he vows to get healthy
Ex Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has vowed to get fit and focus on his health after gaining three stone in weight.
The star, 42, took to Twitter on Wednesday to ask his followers for advice, admitting he now weighs 15 and a half stone after gaining three stone in two years.
James explained he had piled on the weight since his winning stint on Dancing on Ice in 2019.

Taking to his Twitter page, the former pro dancer wrote: ‘Right I’m nearly 100kg about 15 1/2 stone and I’ve started trying to get fit again.’
‘I’ve put on over 3 stone since @dancingonice. I’m trying to run although suffering with my hip and shin splints.
‘Anyway… can anyone recommend a really good reliable heart rate monitor?’
After a follower replied, admitting she ‘hates’ herself after ‘comfort eating’ during lockdown, James admitted he needed to leave his comfort zone too.

‘Come on let’s do this,’ he replied. ‘I feel the same when I look at myself so enough is enough. No more excuses we have to be tough and push ourselves out of our comfort zone. The longer I leave it the harder it will be You can do it xxx.’
In 2019 James revealed he had lost two and a half stone after joining Dancing On Ice.
The ballroom dancer admitted at the time that he had gone ‘from 73 kilos to 95’ after leaving Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.
He explained: ‘I’ve lost a lot of weight, I’ve lost two and a half stone. I was 15 and a half stone. When I stopped doing Strictly [Come Dancing] I went from 73 kilos to 95.

‘I was quite a big boy, I had put on a lot of weight. I didn’t feel healthy. When I got offered to do Dancing on Ice, I thought I’ve got to do something about this.’
Going on to discuss how the transformation happened, he added: ‘I [cut out] bread that’s the main thing, I love bread. Don’t drink as much alcohol, it’s like pouring sugar in your body. And I run.’
James shot to fame as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing but quit in 2013 after eight series.
He has been married to fellow ex Strictly star Ora, 38, since 2003 and the couple welcomed their daughter Ella in February 2020.
